THE TRUSTEES OF THE SHAWNEE MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, COUNTY OF POTTAWATOMIE, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, MET IN REGULAR SCHEDULED SESSION IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL, 9TH AND BROADWAY, SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2006 IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS MEETING AT 5:30 P.M., PURSUANT TO NOTICE DULY POSTED AS PRESCRIBED BY LAW. UPON ROLL CALL, A QUORUM WAS DECLARED PRESENT WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: PRESENT: Claybrook, Schrzan, O’Neal, Mills, Beck, Peterson, Downing ABSENT: None AGENDA ITEM NO. 1: Call to Order. Chairman Mills presided and called the meeting to order. AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: Declaration of a Quorum. Chairman Mills declared a quorum present. AGENDA ITEM NO. 3: Consider approval of Consent Agenda. a. Minutes of February 6, 2006 meeting. b. Confirm action taken on February 6, 2006, Agenda Item No. 1 (i) regarding the approval of continuing the engagement of Joseph E. Carlson, CPA, as the City’s auditor for the 12-month period ending June 30, 2006 for the fee of $50,000. City Commission approved of continuing the engagement of Joseph E. Carlson, CPA, as the City’s auditor for the 12-month period ending June 30, 2006 for the fee of $50,000. c. Confirm action taken on February 6, 2006, Agenda Item 1 (l) regarding the request to advertise for bids for lake intake structure. Confirm the action taken on February 6, 2006, Agenda Item No. 9 regarding the ordinance changing the payment due date for water bills and eliminating the $65.00 reconnect fee. City Commission approved deferring action to the next meeting on the ordinance that would change the payment due date for water bills and eliminating the $65.00 reconnect fee. e. Confirm the action taken on February 6, 2006, Agenda Item No. 14 regarding the bid award of the Chain Link Fencing and Gates for Water Treatment Plant. City Commission approved the bid award on the Chain Link Fencing and Gates for Water Treatment Plant to A-1 Fence, Tecumseh, Oklahoma, in the amount of $20,254.00 as the lowest and best bid. f. Confirm action taken on February 21, 2006, Agenda Item No. 8 regarding the consideration of an ordinance relating to payment of water bills and changing administrative fee for process of disconnecting. City Commission approved Ordinance No. 2239NS relating to payment of water bills, eliminating the $65 re-connect fee in favor of the existing administrative fee for disconnection of water service; and substituting the city manager or his designee in place of the maintenance superintendent or utility superintendent. g. Confirm action under City Commission Agenda Item No. 13 regarding the opening of bids for Flights, Chains and Gears for Southside Wastewater Treatment Plant. City Commission approved deferring action to allow staff time to review and report at the next meeting of awarding bid for Flights, Chains and Gears for Southside Wastewater Treatment Plant. SHAWNEE MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY FEBRUARY 21, 2006 PAGE 3 A motion was made by Trustee Downing, seconded by Trustee Schrzan, to approve the Consent Agenda No. 3 (a-g) as presented. Motion carried 7-0. AYE: Downing, Schrzan, O’Neal, Mills, Beck, Peterson, Claybrook NAY: None AGENDA ITEM NO. 4: Administrative Reports There was no Administrative Reports. AGENDA ITEM NO. 5: New Business There was no New Business. AGENDA ITEM NO. 6: Adjournment There being no further business to come before the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee O’Neal, seconded by Trustee Schrzan, that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried 7-0.
