BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS SPECIAL CALLED SESSION MARCH 31, 2005 AT 5:30 P.M. The Board of City Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, County of Pottawatomie, State of Oklahoma, met in Special Called Session at the Shawnee Community Center, 804 South Park, Shawnee, Oklahoma, Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 5:30 p.m., pursuant to notice duly posted as prescribed by law. Mayor Mills presided and called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the following members were in attendance. Chuck Mills Mayor Tom Schrzan Bob Downing_________ Commissioner Ward 2 Commissioner Ward 6 ABSENT: Tom Claybrook Marva O’Neal Commissioner Ward 1 Commissioner Ward 3 David Hadley MD Linda Peterson Commissioner Ward 4 Commissioner Ward 5-Vice Mayor The Call for said meeting was entered upon the records by the City Clerk, said Call being as follows: CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA TO BE HELD ON THE 31st DAY OF MARCH, 2005 AT 5:30 O’CLOCK P.M. IN SHAWNEE CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL, 16 WEST 9TH, SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA FOR THE PURPOSE OF MEETING POLICE CHIEF CANDIDATE RICHARD PARKER. By virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 2, Article IV of the Charter of the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma, a Special Session of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Shawnee, Oklahoma is hereby called to meet in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 16 West 9th, Shawnee, Oklahoma at 5:30 p.m. on March 31, 2005 for the purpose of meeting police chief candidate Richard Parker. Diana Hallock CITY CLERK Since there was not a quorum of the Commission, Mayor Mills announced that the gathering would proceed as an informal session. A question and answer session was held to give the citizens of the community an opportunity to meet Mr. Richard Parker, Mt. Pleasant, Texas, as the fourth and last candidate interviewed for the Police Chief position for the City of Shawnee. Mr. Parker gave a history of his career in law enforcement and answered questions from the citizens. The session ended at 6:47 p.m. NOTICE: This is NOT an official document.
