Consider approval of staff recommendation to change the workers’ compensation leave policy. The current policy allows six weeks off at full pay for any injury. Staff recommends changing the policy to conform to the state statutory limit of three days off at full pay. 6. Consider approval of staff recommendation to change the personnel policy manual regarding payment of overtime. Currently, the policy allows overtime pay for hours “accumulated” in excess of 40 hours in a work week. Staff recommends the language be changed to read that overtime will be paid for hours “worked” in excess of 40 hours in a work week 7. Consider the appeal of Randy and Patricia Williams regarding the decision of the Administrative Hearing Officer regarding a sign located at 315 W. Highland. Pgs. 74-76 Code Enforcement has been working the abandoned/obsolete sign ordinance and this particular sign has no sign on top which makes it fall under this ordinance. A public nuisance hearing was held on the 26th day of February and the hearing officer ordered the sign to be removed. The owner wishes to keep the sign and replace it, or be able to keep the pole to use the electricity that is attached. He uses the electricity to charge batteries, etc. Owner was advised he could have electrician install a power pole for this activity. One frontage sign already exists on this property. 8. Consider authorizing staff to advertise for bids for solid waste disposal. 9.
