Motion carried. Aye: Cody, Ardrey, Johnson, Totty, Taffe Nay: None IV. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS Michael Ludi – should be no more requests for residential light changes (except addition of new street lights) on agenda in the future since OG&E and the City have a standard light type that they have in most existing residential areas. Michael Ludi – Kickapoo preliminary construction plans, short version of update and sequencing given to Commissioners. Contract should be awarded sometime in December. V. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION Truman Carter spoke to request a middle turn lane the entire length of Harrison where it has been re-paved. Mr. Carter feels that it would be an invaluable safety measure. VI. BOARD MEMBERS COMMENTS Mr. Totty asked if there would be designated alternate routes when construction of Kickapoo gets underway. Since the street will remain open during construction, there will be no alternate route. Mr. Totty asked if parking limits were enforced. This is a police issue. Mr. Johnson and Mr. Totty have both timed the traffic signals at Pottenger and Kennedy at Kickapoo Spur and have agreed that the timing of the lights are too short. Keith Mangus will check on these. Mr. Johnson asked if there were plans for a battery backup system for traffic lights. Keith Mangus explained that we have some signals that have the battery backups but that it was not something that we were putting on all of the lights at this time. Mr. Taffe notified the staff that EB signals are out at 45th & Kickapoo. Keith Mangus will check on these. Mr. Taffe also notified staff that a “subject to flood” sign is down and Keith will check on this as well. Mr. Johnson asked that the Traffic Commission minutes be posted online like those of some of the other commission meetings. Jill Smith will email the IT director about this. There being no further business to come before the Traffic Commission, a motion was made by Cody, seconded by Ardrey recommending the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried.
