THE TRUSTEES OF THE SHAWNEE MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SHAWNEE, COUNTY OF POTTAWATOMIE, STATE OF OKLAHOMA, MET IN REGULAR SCHEDULED SESSION IN THE COMMISSION CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL, 9TH AND BROADWAY, SHAWNEE, OKLAHOMA, MONDAY, MARCH 6, 2006 IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS MEETING AT 5:30 P.M., PURSUANT TO NOTICE DULY POSTED AS PRESCRIBED BY LAW. UPON ROLL CALL, A QUORUM WAS DECLARED PRESENT WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE:
Chairman Mills presided and called the meeting to order.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: Declaration of a Quorum.

AGENDA ITEM NO. 3: Consider approval of Consent Agenda.
a. Minutes of February 21, 2006 meeting.
b. Confirm action taken under City Commission Agenda Item No. 1(e) regarding authorizing staff to go out for bids for Flights, Chains and Gears at Southside Waste Water Treatment Plant.

c. Confirm action taken under City Commission Agenda Item No. 9 regarding discussing the solid waste collection contract and authorizing staff to send Request for Proposals for solid waste collection.

d. Confirm action taken under City Commission Agenda Item No. 14 regarding the presentation and discussion of the rationing section of Water Management Plan
City Commission received report from staff and action for approval will be at the March 20, 2006 meeting.
e. Confirm action taken under City Commission Agenda Item No. 15 regarding the discussion of prohibiting the allowing of water to run off property while watering grass, trees or shrubs.
City Commission discussed the issues of prohibiting the allowing of water to run off property while watering grass, trees or shrubs that will affect the community at large when rationing is put in place.
f. Confirm action taken under City Commission Agenda Item No. 16 regarding the consideration an ordinance requiring the fixing of water leaks within 30 days of discovery.
City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 2241NS .
g. Confirm action taken under City Commission Agenda Item No. 17 regarding the discussion of an ordinance establishing penalties for violating the various categories and levels of water rationing.
City Commission discussed a proposed ordinance establishing penalties for violating the various categories and levels of water rationing. Ordinance was revised for consideration at a future meeting.

h. Confirm action taken under City Commission Agenda Item No. 18 regarding the award of bid for Flights, Chains and Gears at Southside Waste Water Treatment Plant.
City Commission approved of the award of bid for Flights, Chains and Gears at Southside Waste Water Treatment Plant to US Filter Envirex Products, Chalfont, Pennsylvania, as the lowest and best bid in the amount of $15,748.00.
i. Confirm action taken under City Commission Agenda Item No. 23 considering action taken in Executive Session in reference to the pending investigation and possible action regarding the status of the City of Shawnee Water Treatment Plant pursuant to 25 O.S. 307(B)(4).
City Commission approved to direct the city attorney to initiate appropriate legal action necessary to recoup all monies expended on the Phase II Water Treatment Plan project.
A motion was made by Trustee Downing, seconded by Vice Chairman Peterson, to approve the Consent Agenda Item 1 (a-i) as presented. Motion carried 6-0.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, a motion was made by Trustee O’Neal, seconded by Trustee Claybrook, that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried 6-0. (9:21 p.m.)
